Students develop&nbsp;skills to&nbsp;engage in&nbsp;conversations,&nbsp;communicate information about themselves and their worlds,&nbsp;and&nbsp;create texts using modelled language.&nbsp;They also evaluate perspectives, reflect on their language learning, and explore the interrelationship between language and culture.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students will study topics such as:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Health&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Festivals&nbsp;for example&nbsp;Carnaval&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Present Tense Verbs&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Simple Future Tense&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Travel&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Free time and Hobbies&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Life at school&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0<br><strong>Assessment<\/strong>\u00a0<br>Year\u00a08\u00a0Students are assessed according to the\u00a0Spanish\u00a0Achievement Standards outlined in the Australian Curriculum, with A-E Grades used for reporting.
