Completion of Year 10 Engineering & Drafting (CAD) or STEM Aplications is an advantage but not essential. Those with no experience will be supported through the basics.

Course Description<\/strong>
The course gives students the opportunity to develop an understanding of Technical Drawing practices that are used in the engineering, construction and manufacturing sectors (drafting). The techniques and methods used conform to the Australian Standards and utilise industry standard software. Tasks will allow students to develop their practical skills whilst exploring different mechanical systems and how to apply them to design challenges.

Students will be given the opportunity to design and prototype solutions for Compuet Aided Manufacturing (CAM) such as laser cutting and 3D printing.

Assessment<\/strong>
Student achievement is assessed against the relevant Performance Standards outlined for the Design, Technology & Engineering SACE subject, with A-E Grades used for reporting purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
