They learn to create texts for a range of imagined and real-world audiences, purposes and contexts such as a narrative, TED Talk, feature article, podcast, interview or theatre review<\/li><li><strong>Responding to Texts:<\/strong> Students create three analytical responses to texts studied in class. The texts may<\/li><li>include: novel, film, drama or poetry<\/li><li><strong>Comparative Analysis:<\/strong> Students complete a comparative analysis of two independently chosen texts. With the support of their teacher, they analyse two chosen texts and develop a comparative response.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Assessment<\/strong><br><br>Students\u2019 performance will be determined according to the subject\u2019s Performance Standards, as outlined by the SACE Board. Grades A+ to E- will be used for reporting purposes.<br><br><strong>School-based assessment:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Creating Texts (40%)<\/li><li>Responding to Texts (30%)<\/li><li>External assessment:<\/li><li>Comparative Analysis (30%).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Note: <\/strong>Students may incur costs for excursions and performances that support learning within this subject.
