By using functions and their derivatives and integrals, and by mathematically modelling physical processes, students develop a deep understanding of the physical world through a sound knowledge of relationships involving rates of change. Students use statistics to describe and analyse phenomena that involve uncertainty and variation.<br><br>Stage 2 Mathematics Methods topics include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Further Differentiation and Applications<\/li><li>Integral Calculus<\/li><li>Logarithmic Functions<\/li><li>Discrete Random Variables<\/li><li>Continuous Random Variables and Normal Distribution<\/li><li>Sampling and Confidence Intervals.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Assessment<br><\/strong><br>Students\u2019 performance will be determined according to the subject\u2019s Performance Standards, as outlined by the SACE Board.
