Successful completion of Year 8 HASS; students must also be willing to engage with their local communities in a real-world manner 

Course Description<\/strong> 
This course is designed for students who wish to extend their skills in the Humanities, and apply their learning to real-world problems.  

As part of this course, students will have the opportunity to investigate a social, geopolitical or legal issue or problem affecting their community; they will develop an understanding of the history of the problem\/issue, engage with their local community to collect data, understand different perspectives, and develop a proposal that can be presented to an appropriate audience. Students will also examine the problem from a global context, to develop their perspective-taking and understand how it occurs in other countries.
