Course Description

STEM Applications allows students to explore the complex challenges of engineering and hydrodynamics using coding and electronics as they design and build operational submarines or ROV’s (Remotely Operated Vehicles).

Students design either a Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle (ROV) or a Submarine which they must operate. They then present their journey, findings and product at a final showcase.

Students undertaking STEM Applications must undertake the subject for a full year.

Assessment

Assessment types will include designing, planning and testing, an engineering portfolio and will include a focus on collaboration and project management skills.
